Man Utd to target Nathaniel Clyne as their new right-back

Manchester United are planning a huge summer overhaul again this summer, with Louis van Gaal eyeing several key positions in which the club need fresh faces if they want to improve. One of those spots is right-back, and after Antonio Valencia’s horror show against Arsenal, you can see why.

Nathaniel Clyne is thought to be at the top of the club wish list in that particular position, and the Saints man has been in excellent form all season.

The 23-year old Englishman has really upped his game since making the move from Crystal Palace to Southampton a  few years ago, and he has fought his way into Roy Hodgson’s England plans throughout the last few months.

Clyne would be a superb addition to our squad. He’d give us that top quality natural right-back as Louis van Gaal clearly doesn’t seem to fancy Rafael, and with just over twelve months left on his current deal he wouldn’t be that expensive despite English player premiums.

Would Clyne be a good signing? Leave your thoughts in the comment box below.
