Manchester United will try to renegotiate the £43million transfer fee they have agreed to pay Monaco for the permanent signature of Radamel Falcao, according to The Telegraph. The Columbian hit man has scored just three times for United this season, as he looks to extend his Old Trafford stay.
At 28, El Tigre is firmly at the peak of his powers in terms of age, but the horrific injury record over the past couple of seasons have certainly halted his development. Its fair to say that he has been so unlucky at Manchester United so far, and you can see just how desperate he is to stay at a club where the fans absolutely adore him.
It’d make sense to see how he does from now until the end of the season before decided whether or not to sign him on a permanent deal, because its a huge risk to take if he simply cannot stay fit.
The figures are astonishing to be honest, because its thought he’d want at least £250,000-a-week to stay at the club, plus the aforementioned transfer fee of over £40million.
For me, that money could be spend so much better elsewhere but I wouldn’t be wholly against the idea if we were to sign him on a long-term contract.
