April is over, with three Manchester United players putting in impressive performances – and earning their place in WhoScored’s latest Team of the Month.
For Manchester United, April was about consolidating their position in the top four, ensuring they’ll be playing Champions League football next season.
Beating Spurs, Brighton and Burnley meant that their domestic job is all-but done for the season, with all eyes turning towards winning the Europa League.
Ahead of their second leg against AS Roma, our friends over at WhoScored have released their Team of the Month for April, with United dominant.
No fewer than three United stars have been included in the Team of the Month for April following top performances – with one ex-Red (Sam Johnstone), also making the cut.
Check out WhoScored’s April 2021 Team of the Month in full here:

First up, we have Luke Shaw who scored a 7.44 rating on WhoScored’s metrics. The left-back was outstanding once again, completely locking down his side of the field defensively, while offering himself as a constant outlet in an attacking sense.
Next, we have Paul Pogba. The Frenchman is showing us all the brilliance that we know he’s always possessed and it’s an absolute pleasure watching him play right now. His 7.63 rating earns him a spot on the left-wing, which now seems to be his preferred spot in the side.
Finally, Mason Greenwood is included. Credit where it’s due, the Englishman has come back from a really tough start to the season and is now playing at an elite level. Goals, assists, defensive effort and extremely well-rounded performances. This kid is special.
It’s also nice to see Johnstone, who has today been linked with a move back to United, in this side. He’s having a great term with West Brom and if David de Gea leaves, we certainly could do worse…
