Man Utd ‘very close’ to sixth summer signing

Manchester United’s summer spending clearly isn’t done here, with sources in Spain saying Louis van Gaal is ‘very close’ to securing a summer deal to bring Pedro Rodriguez of FC Barcelona to Old Trafford this summer, but whether thats as a replacement for Angel di Maria we still do not know.

Sport go on to say that Pedro, 27, has already agreed personal terms with Manchester United, and is desperate for the move in order to secure more playing time, particularly with the European Championships coming up next summer.

It is thought that he will earn more at Manchester United than he did at Barca which obviously also helps the move, and now its down to the two clubs to settle on a fee for the flying winger.

Pedro would be a fantastic signing for Manchester United. He has that versatility that Louis van Gaal craves as he can play all across the front line, and for the £22million fee which is being mentioned in the media, it could be an absolute steal.

Would Pedro be a good signing? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
