Manchester United are expecting one huge summer transfer window under Louis van Gaal, and The Express have said that United want to add Sergio Ramos, Morgan Schneiderlin, Seamus Coleman and Edinson Cavani to the first-team squad before the season starts in the middle of August.
Firstly, Sergio Ramos is one of the best centre-backs in the world, and if United can somehow pull this off it would well be the deal of the summer. He’ll cost a fair bit, and prising him from Real Madrid will take some doing, but if the player wants the move then there isn’t an awful lot Rafael Benitez can do.
Morgan Schneiderlin is a deal that many expect to happen despite Sky Sports saying United have seen their initial bid rejected and no further contact has been made for ten days. At £25million he could well prove to be one of the signings of the summer, as his ability both on the ball and defending will be a real attribute.
The third player up is Seamus Coleman. The right-back is under serious consideration by Louis van Gaal, as he seeks for a new option in that position after a very hit-and-miss season from Antonio Valencia.
Perhaps the most surprising of this list is Edinson Cavani. The Uruguayan striker has long been linked with a move to Old Trafford, but honestly I cannot see this one happening as PSG will charge through the roof for him.
