Man Utd working hard to sign German international

Manchester United’s transfer window finally seems to be moving in the right direction, with Louis van Gaal desperately trying to get new faces through the Old Trafford doors before the squad heads to the United States on their pre-season tour this coming Monday.

Manchester United are seemingly closing on on a deal for Matteo Darmian of Torino, and that news was broken by the reliable Gianluca Di Marzio of Italy.

He has clearly done some digging again, and today he claims that United are ‘working hard’ to try and persuade Bastian Schweinsteiger to join the red half of Manchester this summer.

Scweinsteiger would be an excellent addition to our squad, and he’d provide some excellent cover in midfield when necessary – particularly with the increased number of games United should have if the club can progress through the Champions League playoff.

We can provide the German international regular playing time, too, which is something Bayern cannot offer him at this moment in time.

Would Schweinsteiger be a good signing? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
