Man Utd’s Ed Woodward to try and complete big name signing before Spurs game

Manchester United have had a successful transfer window up until this point, and Louis van Gaal will have to delve into the market once more to replace the talented but gutless Angel di Maria as his move to Paris Saint-Germain draws ever closer.

According to Sport, Edward Woodward is set to meet Barcelona officials tomorrow to try and conclude a deal for Pedro Rodriguez, ahead of United’s eagerly anticipated season opener against Tottenham Hotspur.

Pedro, 28, is set to cost United around £22million due to a release clause in his contract, which is an extremely low fee for a player of his calibre and versatility.

Louis van Gaal loves his players to be able to play in multiple positions, and Pedro can play all across the front three in behind the main striker, and it seems as though he wants to be at the club in stark contrast to Angel di Maria.

Would Pedro be a good signing? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
