Man Utd’s hopes of signing striker fading

Manchester United have a huge summer ahead, as the new boss Louis van Gaal looks to bolster his attacking options ahead of a new campaign which starts in August.

According to The Sun, United’s pursuit of the Real Madrid hot shot Karim Benzema has been dealt a huge blow, as it looks increasingly likely the 27-year old will remain at Real Madrid for at least another season.

Unfortunately it looks as though we will have to settle for another striker which is hugely disappointing. Benzema has all the attributes a top striker in England would need, including pace, power and the ability to finish even the toughest of chances.

Perhaps a more viable option could be Alexandre Lacazette, who has expressed his desire to leave his current club Lyon if a good enough offer comes his way.

Would Bezema be a good signing? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
