Manchester United’s transfer business has dried up recently, but today Sky Sports News have confirmed the clubs interest in two of the biggest names in world football – Sergio Ramos of Real Madrid and Bastian Schweinsteiger of Bayern Munich.
The pair could both be on the move before next season, and it would be absolutely fantastic business if Edward Woodward and Louis van Gaal can persuade them both to come to Old Trafford.
James Cooper from Sky has said that United ‘would love’ to sign Ramos, and Bastian Schweinsteiger is definitely on the clubs radar, with the latter more likely to happen.
Its extremely possible that David de Gea could be used in any potential deal to bring Ramos in, with the shot-stopper plus cash expected to be the most likely option.
It is quite tough to work out the truth in these rumours this summer. Last summer the club leaked nothing to the press, but this year it seems as though Van Gaal is keen to get United’s transfer business out in the open.
Would this pair turn United into contenders again? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
