Manchester United completed one of the most bizarre moves on transfer deadline day, as the little-known Andy Kellett from Bolton Wanderers switched Championship football for a club aiming to return to the Champions League come May.
As part of that deal, Saidy Janko went the other way on loan to the end of the season, as he looks to get some much-needed playing experience to further his young career.
Bolton took on Fulham last night, with Janko named in the starting line-up for the first league game in English football. The Swiss international couldn’t have made a better start either, scoring an absolutely belting goal in the 80th minute of the game, capping off the perfect debut. He also claimed an assist for Bolton’s opener, showing that if given the opportunity on a regular basis, it’ll help his game no-end.
The 19-year old showed his versatility by playing a number of different positions within the match, playing on both the left and right wings.
