Manchester United’s summer transfer window took an exciting turn yesterday, as the club announced two signings within the space of ten minutes, as Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin both became Red Devils.
Louis van Gaal and Edward Woodward clearly aren’t done there though, and according to talkSPORT, Manchester United have identified Edinson Cavani as Robin van Persie’s replacement, and an official bid isn’t too far away.
The Uruguayan hit man certainly has a fantastic goals to games ratio, and that includes being shoved out on the wing for PSG for most of the time.
His game looks perfect for English football, and at 28 he is at his peak age, meaning Manchester United will probably get the best years out of him.
He’ll certainly cost an awful lot though, probably upwards of £35million, or perhaps he could be used in some sort of swap deal if Louis van Gaal decides to sell Angel di Maria.
Would Cavani be a good signing? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
