Manchester United lumped up a British transfer record fee of £59.78million to sign Angel di Maria in the summer, and after a tremendous start for the Argentine, things have gone downhill in recent weeks due to a series of injuries.
He picked up a hamstring problem in the 3-0 victory at home to Hull, then finally made a return off the bench in United’s 0-0 draw with Aston Villa. Everyone expected him to continue on the bench on Boxing Day, but unfortunately the 26-year old picked up a pelvic injury.
According to injury expert Ben Dinnery, Di Maria is still being assessed and he’s definitely out of the game against Stoke on New Years Day.
