Manchester United lost their first game in over two months at the hands of the champions elect Chelsea this weekend, with Jose Mourinho’s boring style of football once again prevailing and taking all three points.
Louis van Gaal is going to try and get back to winning ways, but the game doesn’t get much easier as a trip to Roberto Martinez’s Everton awaits.
With a few players missing out against Chelsea, Van Gaal won’t have many options to choose from to change things up, and we could well see the same starting XI bar one or two players.
Wayne Rooney, Ashley Young and Juan Mata as a front three have flourished recently, and it’d be odd to see them changed after one poor day at the office.
Michael Carrick will hopefully return to the midfield to give Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera that protection they need.
Luke Shaw was excellent against Chelsea, as was Paddy McNair, both of whom keep their places in this team alongside Chris Smallling and Antonio Valencia. Obviously David de Gea starts in goal.
