Manchester United will certainly be looking to get back to winning ways this weekend, with Louis van Gaal’s side dropping two points away at Chelsea in dramatic fashion. Next up is Sunderland, and ahead of the game, United have been given a major boost as the Black Cats will be without a key player.
The man in question is Adam Johnson, who hasn’t been included in their match day squad due to an ongoing court case. The 28-year old has recently been playing whilst on bail, but now admitting to being guilty of the offence, the club have obviously taken the measure to let him focus solely on that incident.
Their manager Sam Allardyce confirmed the news during a press conference yesterday, and this will give Louis van Gaal one less player to plan and prepare for ahead of a must win game.
