Manchester United Football Club are continuing to promote their traditions, even under Jose Mourinho.
According to the Manchester Evening News, both Ethan Hamilton and Angel Gomes have been added to the senior squad list, acquiring numbers #48 and #47 respectively.
This comes just a week after the pair were added to Manchester United’s Champions League ‘B’ list, with the manager continuing to show a real trust in young players.
Hamilton, a midfielder, was included in the Red Devils matchday squad against Huddersfield Town in the FA Cup just over a week ago; his first appearance in the senior setup.
Gomes is arguably the most talented player in United’s academy at the moment. He’s already made a couple of two first-team appearances, including an excellent little cameo against Yeovil Town just last month.
These two lads will be brimming with confidence following this latest move by their manager, as it shows that the gaffer is supremely interested in giving his young stars a chance.
All they have to do is take a look at Scott McTominay, who’s suddenly starting in Champions League knockout round games.
But Mourinho doesn’t believe in youth, eh?
