Gossip: Manchester United agree £47million Vidal deal & squad number reserved

The Arturo Vidal to Manchester United saga just rumbles on and on, and today the latest instalment claims that Manchester United have agreed a £47million fee for the Chilean powerhouse. CaughtOffside go on to say that his squad number has been reserved, and he’ll take the #7.

Louis van Gaal is reportedly keen to push the deal through within the coming days, and Vidal’s solidity as well as his goal threat going forward will be a huge boost to Manchester United’s much-maligned midfield.

The Red Devils are set to hand Arturo Vidal a whopping £250,000 a week to switch Turin for Manchester, more than doubling his current wages at Juventus. Vidal, 27, is approaching the peak of his powers and he’d become an instant hit in England if he were to make the move.

Manchester United are looking to bring the glory days back to the Old Trafford crowd back as soon as possible, and the signing of Vidal will signal a sign of intent to the fans and the opposition.
