Manchester United agree personal terms with 24-year-old who is ready for Old Trafford move: report

Manchester United’s summer transfer period got off to a rather slow start, but it looks as though we’re closing in on our first signing. The man who could be about to become a Red Devil is Alvaro Morata, and according to The Telegraph, he has agreed personal terms with the Old Trafford club.

Morata has been plying his trade with Real Madrid this season, after spending the two previous campaigns out in Turin with Juventus. A return to Spain last summer meant a reduction in game time due to the sheer quality of players in front of him.

Despite a lack of any real minutes, the Spaniard still managed to find the back of the net an impressive 20 times across all competitions. However, it is clear that he wasn’t happy with sitting on the bench and getting his chance as a substitute.

The move to Manchester United is a real statement of intent from him as he wants to prove that he is good enough to start for a top European side, and I couldn’t be happier.

He’s a great all-round striker who to me looks like a brilliant fit for the Premier League. He has pace, can be physical and is a brilliant header of the ball. Most importantly, he knows where the back of the net is – and that is what Jose Mourinho’s side lacked last season. Hopefully, a deal can be pushed through.
