Manchester United and City set to go head-to-head to land goalkeeper’s signature

Manchester United could be in line to make their first signature of the January transfer window, as they look set to go head-to-head with local rivals Manchester City for the signature of the young goalkeeper Josh Donaldson – claims the Daily Record.

Donaldson, 15, is currently on trial at Arsenal Football Club, but plies his trade up in Scotland with Dundee United. There are a whole host of Premier League clubs chasing his signature, showing just how highly regarded the young man is.

As a red, you always want to beat Manchester City whatever the situation. Whether it be a title deciding clash or the signature of a goalkeeper prospect, getting one over on you’re local rivals is always sweet.

At the end of the day, this young man is purely potential. He could turn into the next David de Gea, or he might end up becoming the future Fabian Barthez, nobody knows.
