Manchester United and City set to go head-to-head to land superstar

Manchester United have been chasing that marquee signing since Louis van Gaal’s arrival at Old Trafford over eighteen months ago now. However, up until this point, the Dutchman has been unsuccessful in landing that huge name – that could change in the not too distant future…

According to The Sun, both Manchester United and Manchester City are set to ‘go all guns blazing’ to land the 23-year old Brazilian Neymar, who could well be on the move this summer.

His own father has fuelled the fire regarding his signature, when last week he said: “There is no reason why he should sign a new deal at Barcelona.”

This could well be a technique to get more money and a better contract out of FC Barcelona, but if a club can come in and offer him more, he could well be tempted into a move.

There aren’t many clubs with more financial power than the Manchester sides, so if he does leave, you’d imagine both of these two will be right up there in the hunt to sign him…
