Manchester United and Napoli in talks over Marouane Fellaini

Marouane Fellaini could be set to end his Manchester United nightmare, as the Old Trafford club are in talks with Napoli about a potential transfer, claim The Guardian. The 26-year old cost United £27.5m last summer, and Ed Woodward is set to cut their losses now, whilst he still has some value.

The fee that Manchester United are holding out for is thought to be around £15million, although Napoli want to take him on a temporary basis rather than a permanent one.

Fellaini’s £100k-a-week wages could also prove to be another stumbling block, but if the midfielder wants to play regular football again, he may be tempted to take a wage-cut in order to further his career.

The same paper also claim that Shinji Kagawa could be on his way out sooner than we think, as Louis van Gaal continues to assess his squad whilst on tour. His old side Borussia Dortmund retain an interest in bringing the Japan international back, and the move could happen this summer.

Do you think £15million is a fair fee for Manchester United? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
