Manchester United’s transfer window has been a pretty slow one so far. Rumours galore are flying all over the internet, but we’ve yet to hear anything with real substance. Now, the latest name to be mentioned by the media is Alvaro Morata of Real Madrid.
Kaveh Solhekol of Sky Sports News is citing Spanish reporter Paco Gonzalez, claiming that Manchester United are the only club interested in signing Madrid’s Spanish striker.

Morata, who spent two years with Juventus before heading back to Madrid, had an excellent season at the Santiago Bernabeu despite not really being allowed a regular run in the starting line-up.
The 24-year-old finished the season with an excellent return of 20 strikes, but a lack of real playing time could well see him move away – despite the fact that he only returned last summer.
It was always going to be tough for him at Madrid, fighting for a spot in the team with the likes of Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo and the rest of the calvary.
Morata is a player that Mourinho will know from his time as Madrid boss, and to me, it is quite clear that the Red Devils need to bring in a centre-forward who knows exactly where the back of the net is. Is the Spaniard that guy? Who knows. I’m of the opinion that it would be a huge gamble to go for someone who isn’t tried and tested in the Premier League, but I trust our manager wholeheartedly.
