Manchester United battling with Tottenham in attempt to sign world-class attacker: report

Manchester United Football Club are battling with Tottenham Hotspur in an attempt to sign Gareth Bale, according to Mundo Deportivo, translated by the Daily Mail.

Apparently, the Welshman already knows that Los Blancos are planning on getting rid of him in the summer, following persistent injury problems that have plagued his season at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The 28-year-old is being tracked by Jose Mourinho as well as his former club, and no doubt he’d have a huge decision to make if both offers were deemed acceptable by Real Madrid.

Does he go back to the club who made him the player he is today? Linking up with Harry Kane would certainly be an attractive prospect.

Or does Bale head to Old Trafford, working with Mourinho, arguably the best manager the Premier League has seen over the last fifteen years.

From a Manchester United perspective, I’d absolutely love to see Bale at the Theatre of Dreams. He’s a brilliantly gifted individual who’d improve any side in world football, I’d just be concerned that injuries would inevitably keep him sidelined for long periods of time.
