Manchester United have opened talks with Paris Saint-Germain about the possibility of signing Lucas Moura, according to Le10Sport, translated by The Sun.
Although no formal offer has been put forward by the Red Devils as of yet, talks have begun between the two sides, although Manchester United and Jose Mourinho will have to contend with Chinese Super League side Hebai Fortune, who are also keen on signing the Brazilian winger.
Moura has been linked with a move to United before, but to no avail so far. However, a lack of any real playing time in Paris must be disheartening for the winger, who could well be on the move if the right offer comes in.
Naturally a right-sided attacker, he’d be an excellent fit in the Premier League, and at United in particular. Over the last few seasons, we’ve not had a reliable attacker who plays in that position and has nailed down his spot in the team. Perhaps Moura could be that footballer, giving Mourinho one less headache to worry about.
The report doesn’t say when a move could be made, but, in my opinion, if a January deal could be done, then it makes sense to pursue it and get Moura in as soon as possible.
