Manchester United have finally admitted defeat, and are ready to part with Louis van Gaal in the summer, according to the Sunday World. They go on to say that the board at Old Trafford are split down the middle regarding the appointment of Jose Mourinho as Van Gaal’s successor.
At this point in time after two failed appointments, Manchester United certainly need to get this one right. For that reason I cannot see them gambling by bringing in Ryan Giggs as manager, and they simply have to break the bank and go for that world class manager.
Jose Mourinho is certainly that, and he will guarantee trophies if given funds and time. The only concern with the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’ is that he always tends to leave the club in a bit of a mess, and that definitely explains some concerns that part of the board have.
