Manchester United boosted ahead of Liverpool game with big injury news

Manchester United and Liverpool face off for the second time this season, but the two clubs are in different circumstances this time around. Last time, Louis van Gaal put the final nail in Brendan Rodgers’ coffin as boss, and now Jurgen Klopp will taste his first Liverpool vs Manchester United fixture.

Ahead of the game Manchester United’s task has been made somewhat easier, with Liverpool’s German boss confirming that both Daniel Sturbridge and Dejan Lovren have been ruled out of the game.

Over recent years Daniel Sturbridge has been a real problem for Manchester United, and he always seems to have a good game against us. We could well see Liverpool play a similar type of game that they did against Arsenal, with no recognised striker in their line-up.

Dejan Lovren has been very hit and miss for the Merseyside club, but with injury problems seriously depleting their squad, we could well face a largely inexperienced back-line this weekend, and hopefully Wayne Rooney can thrive in that situation.
