Manchester United boosted as 23-year old passed fit for Moscow game

Manchester United have been boosted ahead of the game against CSKA Moscow tomorrow evening. Phil Jones has returned to first-team training and Louis van Gaal has confirmed that he is fit and ready to take part in the clash against a Russian side who’ll be looking to cause an upset.

The 23-year old missed United’s game at the weekend as Louis van Gaal deemed him ‘in the red zone’ in terms of fitness, which I think is great man management by the Iron Tulip – considering Jones’ recent injury problems.

Phil Jones missed the start of the season due to a serious problem with a blood clot in his leg, but since his return he has formed a superb partnership alongside Chris Smalling at the back. The pair are yet to lose a game in which they’ve started together during their time at Old Trafford, and it looks as though the duo could play together tomorrow night.
