Manchester United take on Liverpool in European competition for the first time in their history tomorrow, in a game where fine margins will decide the outcome. Ahead of the game Manchester United have been given a minor boost, as James Milner missed training.
The Englishman has been a key figure for Jurgen Klopp since the German’s arrival at Anfield, but according to Sky he missed their training session due to a virus.
This could be massive if the experienced midfielder missed the game, as the middle of the park is an area of the field that Manchester United are particularly strong in, and its usually where most games are won and lost.
If Milner is missing it could give the likes of Schneiderlin, Carrick and Herrera more time on the ball and more freedom to pick those defence-splitting passes that they are all capable of.
