Manchester United have been handed somewhat of a boost in their pursuit of Gareth Bale. When the Welshman made his move to Real, it was revealed that United offered more money in an attempt to persuade Bale to choose Manchester United over sunny Spain. However that wasn’t the case and the 25-year old went on to win the Champions League in his debut season.
According to the Manchester Evening News, United have been told that they can sign Bale for a hefty cash sum plus goalkeeper David de Gea. Our Spanish keeper has proven time and time again that he is one of the most sought-after goalies in world football at the moment, and its no surprise that Real Madrid want him to be Iker Casillas’ successor at the Bernabeu.
Gareth Bale is one of the best outfield players in the game, and he’s shown that he can do it in the Premier League. Either way, both sides will be getting something out of this deal. If it doesn’t go through, the two teams get to hold onto their stars, but if it does happen, then the clubs will be getting new world class players to admire.
