Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney targeted by Chinese big-money club – report

Manchester United fans have often expressed their displeasure at Wayne Rooney’s form since the beginning of the season, with the club captain looking lacking in pace, confidence and any real motivation. However if these latest rumours are believed to be true, he could be on his way out soon.

According to The Sun, Manchester United’s #10 is being targeted by a Chinese league side whom are hoping to make Rooney the figurehead of their huge attempt to become a footballing powerhouse.

They are prepared to offer him huge wages and a massive signing on fee to be tempted by the move, but it seems unlikely that the 29-year old will want to move his family to China – especially as these are supposed to be the peak years of his footballing career.

As daft as it may seem, if the right offer comes in for him then perhaps the Manchester United board could be tempted into letting Rooney go, but as of right now it looks unlikely.
