It feels like the transfer market has only just slammed shut, but in fact we’re rapidly approaching the winter transfer window which opens in January. Thats right, silly season is almost upon us once again, and the rumours have already begun.
According to the Spanish media outlet AS, Manchester United have joined both Real Madrid and Bayern Munich in the hunt to sign the Valencia CF defender, Shkodran Mustafi.
Mustafi, 23, is one of the hottest prospects in the game at the moment, and the German has been in inspired form for Valencia this season. He has also played for his country on numerous occasions, and even grabbed a World Cup winners medal.
It is thought that there is a £37million buyout clause in his contract, but AS go on to say that Valencia could be willing to accept a bid in the region of £22million for the mobile centre-half.
