Manchester United close to agreeing first summer signing worth £45million: report

Manchester United could finally be about to close in on their first signing of the summer transfer window. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, translated by Football Italia, the Red Devils are nearing an agreement with Inter Milan about the possibility of signing Ivan Perisic.

The report claims that the two sides are close to sorting out a fee, thought to be somewhere around the £45million mark for the 28-year-old winger. Inter themselves are open to the idea of parting with the Croat because of their current financial situation in regards to Financial Fair Play.

All that is left according to the report is the wages negotiation. If all goes well, it possibly looks like Perisic could be our first signing of the summer. Personally, I’m of the opinion that he is exactly the type of player we’ve been craving.

United have always been known for using the wings to the fullest and whipping in dangerous crosses into the box. That is Perisic’s style down to a tee. He also has quite the box of tricks in his arsenal and no doubt he’d excite the Old Trafford crowd.

Last season our main aim was creating chances and I’d be fairly confident that if the Milan winger made the move to the Theatre of Dreams, we’d be carving out a lo more opportunities for the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic (if he stays) and Marcus Rashford.
