Manchester United close to sealing goalkeepers signature – report

Manchester United could already have added a new player to the squad ahead of next season, as The Sun claim they have beaten Rangers to the signature of Kacper Chorazka. The young man has trials scheduled for later this month.

His father Artur has spoken out about the prospect of his son joining United, as well as admitting that a whole host of teams, including Spurs and Liverpool, were interested.

“Kacper went to Rangers on trial and I know their goalkeeping coach Jim Stewart liked him.”  Artur Chorazka began.

“Spurs, Liverpool and clubs in Italy and Germany were interested too. “

“But when you get an offer from a club like Manchester United, you cannot say no.”

“If the clubs reach an agreement then great, but the priority is to develop him as a keeper.”

The board at Old Trafford clearly seem to be planning for Louis van Gaal in charge, because he usually has final say on transfers and he must have given this one the go-ahead.

United have a rich history when it comes to bringing in youngsters and developing their talent, and the signing of Chorazka could be another example of that.

The young man has plenty of competition though, with the likes of Sam Johnstone and Joel Pereira both impressing for the youth sides over the last twelve months. However if he keeps his head down, and keeps working hard, we could well have a real gem on our hands going forward.
