The January transfer window is now open and in full swing, and Louis van Gaal is clearly keen to add a few fresh faces to the squad to give it a lift. One man who seems to be constantly linked with a move to Old Trafford is Felipe Anderson, and now Sky Sports News have picked up on that story.
Late last night, Sky Sports reported that a deal for the 22-year old Brazilian is ‘said to be close’, but if it does go through, Anderson certainly won’t come cheap.

At the end of the day, the majority of deals that go through in January are gambles, and often its a sign of a side who are desperate to bring people in, in the hope that they can make a difference.
From what I’ve seen of Anderson, he’s built in a similar mould to Memphis Depay. On his day he can be a match winner, but at other times he can struggle and hardly get into the game at all.
