Manchester United have always been a club that has an eye for talented teenagers from all corners of the globe. That’s a mantra that the Old Trafford side will want to keep progressing with, purely down to the success it has brought United in the past.
Now the Daily Mail say that Manchester United are drawing close to the signature of another supremely talented individual from the famous Ajax academy system.
The boy in question is 15-year-old Daishawn Redan. A player who is predominantly a right-footed striker, who can ply his trade as a left-winger with the ability to cut in.
The Mail add that Redan has already arrived at Carrington and are poised to tie up a deal for the Holland U17 international, following in the footsteps of the supremely talented Tim Fosu-Mensah.
At the end of the day, it does make sense for Manchester United to stick with what they know. Bringing in youngsters, nurturing them and developing their skills is always a huge gamble, but it can work out absolutely perfectly on occasion.
The current first team has players like Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford and the aforementioned Tim Fosu-Mensah all in and around the squad. Who knows, the name Daishawn Redan could become a household one at Old Trafford over the next few years if the deal goes through…
