Manchester United considering last minute bid for striker as deadline looms

Manchester United Football Club have spent in excess of £150million this summer, bringing in top class players like Paul Pogba, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Eric Bailly and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Now attentions have focused to talents, who could offer something to the club in the long-term.

The Daily Mail say that Manchester United are considering putting a £1million bid in for the young talent, Dominic Calvert-Lewin. The 19-year-old forward has been targeted by fellow Premier League club Everton earlier on in the window, but that move fell through.

He currently plays his football for Sheffield United who are heavy favourites to gain promotion from League One this summer, but a move right to the very top could well be too good for the young man to say no too.

Jose is keen to add some real quality to a struggling U23 side so far this season, who are lacking in any real striker due to various talents being shipped out on loan. Calvert-Lewin would certainly add some goals to that, and could well be a first-team regular in the future.
