Manchester United don’t seem to be keen on bringing in a first-team player during this January window, but their attentions are currently locked on improving the ailing academy at the Aon Training Complex, by bringing in talents from around the country.
The Daily Mail say that Manchester United have sent scouts up and down the United Kingdom, in order to find the best youngsters on the British Isles, in order to get their youth system back on the map.
One man the club are keen on bringing in is Southampton’s Jake Hesketh, a highly thought of central midfielder who is making a great impression on the South Coast.
The young man has only featured twice for the Southampton first-team proper, but has made great strides in the game whilst playing for the U21 side there.
As with all talents its a gamble. There is no 100% guarantee that they will develop and flourish into the player that their club expects, but if any club are good at harnessing young players, its Manchester United.
