Manchester United have been seeking that huge signing since Louis van Gaal’s arrival at Old Trafford, yet to this point he hasn’t been successful in his pursuit. However that could change soon if the latest reports coming out of Italy are true.
TMW say that Louis van Gaal is interested in some sort of swap deal with PSG, involving both Anthony Martial and Edinson Cavani. The Uruguayan striker has been on the fringes of things in the French capital largely due to Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s form, but he’d certainly be first choice if he came to Manchester.
Obviously losing Anthony Martial would be a massive loss however, and personally I’d prefer us to keep the talented 20-year old rather than taking a big-money gamble on Cavani who is rapidly approaching his thirties. We’d probably have to stump up cash as well as Martial too, which makes it even more risky.
