The January transfer window is rapidly approaching, with Jose Mourinho plotting what changes to make that’ll bolster Manchester United’s chances at winning silverware come May. The rumours are coming in thick and fast, and we’ve been given a hint at two players who could well be out of the exit door.
According to the Daily Mirror, Everton are interested in signing both Morgan Schneiderlin and Memphis Depay in January, in a double swoop that could well help their chances at landing continental football.
Manchester United spent a combined £52million to buy their pair just over twelve months ago, but both have really struggled to implement their individual style of play and tactics onto the starting eleven.
Depay came in on the back off a simply stunning season for PSV Eindhoven, but despite plenty of opportunities, he has failed to impress. Jose Mourinho doesn’t seem all that convinced by his talents either and has even left him out of some match day squads all together recently.
Schneiderlin is an odd one. United haven’t had that midfield enforcer for years and the Frenchman has all the attributes. He has found chances hard to come by, but when given the nod to start he simply doesn’t grasp the opportunity.
