Manchester United could be on the verge of parting with one of their most prized assets – Juan Mata. The Sunday People say that three Chinese clubs have made huge bids for the Spaniard, who could well leave this coming summer. It would be a move that makes sense, particularly given Jose Mourinho’s disliking to Mata.
A source told Sunday People: “Juan was happy to return to Spain but now the Chinese have come and the money is very difficult to turn down.”
It would be surprising if Juan Mata was actually leaving Manchester United for the money, as he seems to love it here, and he adores playing football.
At the end of the day though, football is a career like any other, and money is the most important factor. If he does a few years in China to bring in some mega-money you can’t really blame him.
