Manchester United could be about to sell one of their star names, after just one season at the club. That’s according to the Daily Mail, who say that Bastian Schweinsteiger is being targeted by Ligue 1 side, Paris Saint-Germain.
Now 31, Schweinsteiger had an injury-hit season at Old Trafford, but still somehow managed to play over thirty games for the club in his debut twelve months.
However, the Mail say that United would be open to selling Bastian Schweinsteiger if the German fetches a reasonable offer.
His injury record must be a huge concern for Jose Mourinho, though. He didn’t play a game from February onwards for Manchester United, and has now been all-but ruled out of the rest of Euro 2016 with a knee ligament problem.
Jose Mourinho will know Schweinsteiger’s style of play, and will no doubt assess the German upon return to Manchester before making a definitive decision about what to do.
