Jose Mourinho is already having a huge impression at Manchester United in the transfer market, as he has sealed a deal for Eric Bailly, and looks like a move for Zlatan Ibrahimovic is close. However, his work isn’t done there, and he has to shift out dead wood, too.
The latest rumour of a player potentially being let go links Tyler Blackett with a move to Reading FC in the Championship. Former United centre-back Jaap Stam is currently in charge there, and the Daily Mail say that he wants Blackett on loan.
22-Year-old Blackett spent last term on loan at Celtic where he largely failed to impress, but the season before that he played plenty of minutes for Manchester United under Louis van Gaal.
It’s an odd one with Blackett because he clearly has plenty of talent. He sometimes makes daft mistakes which is an obvious concern, but if he can iron that out, he could well turn into a player for Manchester United in the long run.
