Manchester United could well be on the lookout for a new manager next summer, with the fans growing increasingly frustrated with Louis van Gaal. Josep Guardiola could be available, but his latest comments could put off some members of the board at the Theatre of Dreams.
“Three years is enough in a club. I’m not a coach of 30 years staying at a club.” Guardiola said.
It is already quite clear that the Spaniard gets twitchy feet rather quickly, but unlike Mourinho, Guardiola seems to leave the club in a better state in which he found them.
However, United are a club well-known and associated with giving a manager plenty of time and allowing him to build a legacy. Although Guardiola pretty-much guarantees trophies, the Old Trafford hierarchy could be put off by the fact that the 44-year old does not offer longevity.
