The Manchester United hierarchy have a huge dilemma on their hands come the summer, as its obvious that the club have been looking at potential managers to take over from Louis van Gaal. However the Dutchman has turned things around over the last couple of months and could well stay on.
However, if he does manage to keep his job, that may end Manchester United’s chances of bringing in Zlatan Ibrahimovic this summer, according to the usually reliable Daily Telegraph.
If true, its now a case of who Manchester United reckon will have the biggest influence on the club out of the pair, and you’d probably have to side with the Iron Tulip – just.
Bringing in Zlatan Ibrahimovic would be a massive gamble that would cost an awful lot of money over the short term, especially when you consider his age and if he picks up a serious injury that could be career over.
Louis van Gaal has just one year left on his deal at Manchester United, and if the club can somehow win a cup this season and finish in the top four it’d definitely make sense to allow him that last twelve months of his contract.
