Manchester United Football Club seem to be enjoying life under Jose Mourinho at the moment, with the Reds on an excellent unbeaten run in the league whilst still fighting it out for European glory. Now, though, summer plans will be being made behind the scenes.
Mourinho will be eyeing various signings, and one player apparently on the list is Anderson Talisca, the Besiktas attacking midfielder. That’s according to Turkish news outlet Fanatik, translated by the Daily Express. They actually go one further than that, and say that if Mourinho gets his man then Juan Mata could be sold by the Old Trafford club this summer.
The Spain international has been pretty brilliant this season, and he’s second in the goalscoring charts with 10 strikes, only behind Ibrahimovic. Mata has also tacked on four assists for his teammates.
As for Talisca, the report adds that he’d cost Manchester United £21million due to a release clause in his contract. Outside of that, I honestly don’t know an awful lot about him as a player.
I just don’t see any truth to this rumour, to be quite frank. Mata has been brilliant this season and Mourinho must be pleased with his contributions. Why would we let him go at this point in time? Particularly for a player who isn’t used to the rigours of playing in the Premier League.
