Manchester United football is close to returning, with the international break drawing to it’s end for the calendar year. Jose Mourinho’s men come back with a pretty big bang – a home game against one of our fiercest of rivals in the form of Arsenal.
Ahead of that game though, the Red Devils have been hit with yet another injury problem, and it is becoming a real issue because more and more players seem to be down on the treatment table.
The latest man to offer us concern is Wayne Rooney. Gareth Southgate has confirmed that the 32-year-old will miss England’s game against Spain tomorrow with a minor problem, and is now a doubt for the weekend.
Although it is only a ‘minor concern’ for Southgate, he has confirmed that Jordan Henderson will captain the side in Rooney’s absence. Manchester United’s number ten hasn’t been sent back to the Aon Training Complex to get this problem sorted, and will remain in the England fold.
