With the FA Cup final looming, Manchester United could be sweating on the fitness of one of their starting line-up regulars. According to the Daily Mail, Marcos Rojo is a doubt for the domestic showpiece which takes place at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.
The Argentinian centre-back missed United’s postponed game against Bournemouth due to an injury that he suffered in training, and it looks as though his season could well be over.
Rojo hasn’t really endeared himself to the Manchester United fans of late, after some less than impressive performances at left-back. The 26-year old has looked completely short of confidence, but despite that Louis van Gaal has continued to select the versatile defender.
This could provide a real opportunity for the likes of Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and Timothy Fosu-Mensah, which they simply have to take on the biggest stage of them all.
Manchester United could also be sweating on the fitness of Morgan Schneiderlin, who is currently suffering from a bout of illness.
