Manchester United dealt blow in Cristiano Ronaldo pursuit – report

Louis van Gaal has been chasing that marquee signing since his arrival at Old Trafford, but the Dutchman has been unsuccessful at that up until this point. The Iron Tulip certainly hasn’t given up that dream, but his hopes have been dealt a major blow in pursuit of a certain Cristiano Ronaldo.

According to the Daily Telegraph, if Ronaldo decides to leave Spain, PSG are in pole position to sign the Portugal winger, with Manchester United sitting as second favourites.

Whether or not its because Cristiano Ronaldo wants to try something different, or the fact that the French side can offer him a much higher salary remains to be seen, but it would be disappointing to fail to land Ronaldo if he does leave.

Many have said that Ronaldo will either come back to Manchester or stay in Real Madrid for the rest of his career, but at this point in time, neither look likely.
