Manchester United dealt blow in pursuit of world class winger

Jose Mourinho clearly doesn’t mind raiding his former clubs to bring in new players this summer, one of which linked with a move to Old Trafford was Chelsea winger, Willian. However, that doesn’t look like happening according to the latest reports.

The Sun claim that the Brazilian winger is set to snub interest from Manchester United, and sign a new four-year contract at Chelsea Football Club.

Now 27, Willian was arguably Chelsea’s best performer last season in a poor term for the London club. However, the £32million man is all set to stay at Chelsea, with new boss Antonio Conte’s arrival due after the European Championships.

It’s a real shame that Willian won’t be coming to Manchester United, as he’d fit our style of play perfectly. He has bags of pace, a real eye for a pass and brilliant trickery on the ball. Thankfully, it looks as though United will still invest in that area of the field, with a move for Henrikh Mkhitaryan still in the offing.
