Manchester United’s defensive injuries have been a real problem for pretty-much all season, and another cruel turn of fate has taken place in that area of the field. According to the usually reliable James Ducker of The Times, Marcos Rojo won’t be back available until March, due to the shoulder injury he suffered before Christmas.
That means the Argentinian will miss another two months of action, and the majority of the season will be done. Left-back is already a huge issue as it is, and with our two main options out for most of the campaign, it could pose a real threat going forward.
It would explain why Louis van Gaal has been toying with the idea of signing another recognised left-back during this transfer window, but as of yet nothing concrete seems to have been reported to this point.
