Manchester United want to bring in new players this January, and failing that the coming summer. Louis van Gaal has reportedly been sniffing around and trying to sign Atletico Madrid’s Saul Niguez, but the latest comments coming directly from the horses mouth are a huge blow.
“I’m going through some great moments and that’s showing on the pitch. I’m happy for the goals but more as it benefits the team.” Saul began.
“It is my biggest dream to stay my whole life at Atlético Madrid.”
It seems as though Saul Niguez is clearly intent on staying in Atletico Madrid for the foreseeable future at the very least, and this all-but confirms a January transfer for the talented attacking midfielder is extremely unlikely.
The 21-year old is clearly highly thought of by the fans and management out in Spain, and if he keeps putting in the performances, it’ll be very difficult for United to bring him in.
